Participants in the upcoming Alabama ABC Select Spirits Limited Release Sweepstakes are gearing up for the most anticipated shopping day of the holiday season. The annual sale will be conducted at eight ABC retails stores around the state on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
This year, more than 30,500 people registered for the once-a-year event, which is nearly 11,000 more than any previous annual sweepstakes.
The Twelve-hundred (1,200) winners – 150 per each store - were drawn at random in late October. The winners will choose from four different tables covered in highly coveted bourbons, blended whiskeys and several other treats. Another several hundred shoppers will register the morning of the sale to participate from a “walk-up” line. The participants in this line will be allowed to enter the store in the order in which they arrived, after sweepstakes winners have completed their purchases.

Having a reserved place in line does not guarantee any specific product. Partakers must possess and present a valid State of Alabama Driver’s License to purchase the sweepstakes items. The sale was also open to active military stationed in Alabama who are at least 21 years of age and can provide proof of current Alabama residency.
The highly allocated whiskeys will be offered on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved or placed on hold.
The public is not allowed on ABC store property before 8 a.m. when on-site registration opens for sweepstakes winners and walk-up line participants. In an effort to ensure a safe shopping environment, participants are required to vacate the property until their assigned shopping time.
