Based on action taken by several Walmart stores across the lower half of the state, the retailer has amended closing times to 1 p.m.
Specifically referencing social media posts from several Walmart Facebook pages from Atmore down to Foley and across to Mobile.
Outlying areas of Mobile County, such as Citronelle, Jackson, Mt Vernon will close at 2pm.y
This updated closing list replaces the list posted at 9:15 a.m. today.

Stores 132 and 239 located in Baldwin County will be closed Friday, Oct. 9 due to the City of Orange Beach anticipating closing the bridge at noon.
At this time, all remaining stores in Baldwin and Mobile Counties are expected to be open for business Friday, Oct. 9. ABC Stores Division may decide to close select stores early on Oct. 9.
A detailed list of ABC Stores scheduled to close early on Oct. 9 will be posted tomorrow as forecast information develops through today and tomorrow morning.
As for Saturday, Oct. 10, it is possible some ABC Stores will remain closed due to power outages, structural damages, reduced staffing and/or road closures. However, if there are no issues, stores will be expected to open as normal.
Per Governor Ivey's recent announcement concerning Emergency Closures of State Offices and Buildings, the Mobile County and Baldwin County ABC Licensing offices will close Friday, Oct. 9 at noon. The Governor's announcement does not include ABC Store locations.
